What is Stockpile Management and How Do We Implement This
Many people probably do not know what stockpile management is. However, it is something that the majority of people working in the healthcare field should know about. Continue to read to learn more about what stockpile management is and how we implement it here at Trace Medical.
What is Stockpile Management?
Stockpile management can be defined as having enough medical supplies and equipment ready and on hand shall a big medical emergency outbreak happen. This was shown during the Coronavirus outbreak. Medical professionals and hospitals need to have enough equipment and supplies on hand to make sure that everyone is getting the best care possible.
How Do We Implement This?
You can see this being implemented with Trace Medical because State and Federal governments acquire a stockpile of ventilators and Portable Oxygen Concentrators. As clinical needs for these items diminish, assets are returned to Trace Medical’s Service Center. The assets are then tested, serviced, and updated, and documentation is completed for each asset. Assets are then cataloged in the Inventory Control System for status reporting and cross-functional visibility. While waiting for the asset to be sent back out. We will perform maintenance and software updates as we see fit.
All of this is through our stockpile management program that is open to Federal, State, and local governments as well as private organizations. This program makes sure that owned ventilators and portable oxygen concentrators are repaired, serviced, maintained, staged, and re-delivered as needed.
