SIMPLICITY AND FREEDOM

The NeoPAP patient interface’s small profile and ability to be used with both CPAP and flow modes, coupled with Baby-Trak leak compensation technology, gives you the freedom to accommodate the unique care needs of your smallest patients. The innovative bonnet, nasal cannula and nasal mask designs work in concert to help minimize the need for adjustments during therapy, allowing you to spend more time caring for your patient and less time tending to the device. NeoPAP allows you to create an environment where patients can rest more comfortably and focus their energy on growth and development. Watch the NeoPap video for more details.

Modes of therapy

Three modes of therapy are available to meet the unique care needs of your patients – CPAP mode, flow mode, and resuscitation mode. While operating NeoPAP in any of these modes, the FiO2 concentration can be set between 21% and 100%. Standby mode is also available to facilitate system setup and accommodate procedures where an interruption of therapy is required.

Safety and alarms

For added patient safety, NeoPAP incorporates a full complement of alarms. Utilizing feedback from the pressure line at the patient interface, NeoPAP can regulate and actively monitor the level of pressure delivered. NeoPAP also includes adjustable alarm volume control, remote alarm capability, and visual and audible alarm indicators.

Baby-Trak

To respond to changing respiratory requirements related to leaks and changes in breathing patterns, NeoPAP utilizes the Baby-Trak leak compensation algorithm. This leak compensation technology eliminates the need for a closely fitted interface seal and helps to reduce pressure on the infant’s face. NeoPAP’s Baby-Trak software allows the device to measure pressure at the patient’s nose and manage it to the target CPAP level. The flow of the oxygen and air gas mixture is controlled to compensate for leaks, allowing a looser fit of the patient interface than if a seal were required.

WITH COMFORT IN MIND

Patient comfort; clinician peace of mind

NeoPAP’s leak compensation technology is coupled with a lightweight patient interface and an innovative bonnet design that work together to deliver therapy to the patient while minimizing the potential for skin-related issues often seen with traditional CPAP systems. NeoPAP’s unique patient interface design relocates the CPAP technology from the patient’s face to the NeoPAP device, resulting in a sophisticated patient interface intended to be lighter, less bulky, and more patient friendly.

The right fit, everytime

Available in several sizes of nasal cannula and mask designs to accommodate various facial geometries, the NeoPAP patient interface is made of soft, skin-friendly silicone that does not contain BPA, DEHP, or natural rubber latex. It does not need to be fitted tightly to an infant’s face to be secured in place, helping to minimize the discrete pressure points that often lead to irritation and, in some cases, tissue necrosis. The patient bonnet utilizes a Fabrifoam lining to help preserve the orientation of the bonnet and to help minimize any torsional stress placed on the patient interface. Adjustable Fabrifoam-lined bonnet clips help to maintain nares-patient interface alignment and to reduce the potential for the interface to move or become dislodged. This unique design virtually eliminates the need to tighten the interface to the patient, a practice common with traditional CPAP patient interfaces. Coupled with an adjustable hook and loop strap, the design allows you to customize the interface setup to meet the individual needs of your patient.
