Mark Farmer joins Trace Medical as new Company President

Mark is a seasoned attorney  with a distinguished background shaped by nearly two decades of guiding organizations through complex growth, strategic partnerships, and sophisticated corporate transactions. Most recently, he served as Chair of his firm’s Corporate & Securities Service Team and sat on its Executive Committee, where he built a national reputation for business leadership grounded in clarity, discipline, and exceptional responsiveness. 

Throughout his career, Mark has advised organizations across healthcare, financial services, life sciences, manufacturing, and emerging technology. His representative work includes: 

  • Leading mergers, acquisitions, and equity investments for businesses ranging from innovative healthcare providers to renewable-energy companies and SaaS developers 

  • Supporting medical device manufacturers and distributors across corporate, transactional, and regulatory matters 

  • Guiding lenders, borrowers, private equity funds, and family-owned businesses through complex financial and operational transitions 

  • Advising entrepreneurs and multi-generation family businesses in pivotal sale, acquisition, and growth events 

Mark’s qualifications include a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Louisville School of Law, and a B.A., cum laude, in Economics and Political Science from DePauw University. His work has been recognized repeatedly by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, and Louisville’s Forty Under 40. He has also held leadership roles within the Kentucky Bar Association and Leadership Louisville.
